EastEnders fan reveals meaning behind 'wangy toast' comment made about Ravi by Bernie and viewers are disgusted

EastEnders fans were left baffled by a comment on the show last night about how Ravi likes his toast - and some were disgusted by what it actually means when it was revealed on a forum. In the fallout of Denise's bombshell about her affair with Ravi, a seething Jack called in sick to avoid the gossip of the Square.

His daughter Amy also took the day off school, and hatched a plan to get the couple talking again. She asked her dad to go to the cafe with her, not mentioning that she had invited Denise as well.

In the caf, Amy and Jack could tell punters were stood around whispering about the affair, and waitress Bernie advised them to ignore it. "Some people haven't got anything better to talk about," Jack angrily retorted, to which Bernie said: "For what it's worth I'm on your side."

She then revealed something very odd about Ravi. "I can never trust a bloke who likes wangy toast," she added. The comment left fans baffled with some questioning what it meant. And once they found out, they could not contain their disgust.

In a post on Facebook, one asked: "Guys does anyone know what wangy toast is?" A viewer replied: "Cold toast with unmelted butter on it according to Google and Delia."

"Toast cooled with thick butter," chipped in another, confirming the answer. "My daughter puts toast in the fridge before she butters it. Very weird," a third said.

And a fourth joked: "I feel it's a bit like those who wear thick socks in bed… Psychopaths. Eating cold toast is like trying to eat a block of sandpaper."
