There is serious doubt over Javi Gracia’s role as manager of Leeds United following their 4-1 loss to Bournemouth, just 10 weeks after his appointment.
Reports indicate that owner Andrea Radrizzani is contemplating a managerial change in a last-ditch effort to prevent relegation with only four games remaining.
Gracia was appointed on a short-term basis in February following the dismissal of Jesse Marsch. He has managed just 11 Premier League games. Despite winning three of his first six matches, the Spaniard oversaw four defeats in five, leaving Leeds only a point clear of the relegation zone.
Radrizzani and the club’s board are now considering their options ahead of Saturday’s match against league leaders Manchester City.
There is speculation about the possibility of bringing in Lee Bowyer, the former Leeds midfielder, who is currently without a job after being sacked by Birmingham last summer. He could emerge as a short-term option to energize the supporters.
