Joining the ‘god of iron’ (Ogun) worshipers, Olowo of Owo Kingdom, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, on Thursday afternoon, June 16, actively took part in invoking curses on the terrorists responsible for the killing of worshippers at St Francis Catholic Church, Owo.
Tragically, at least 38 worshipers were brutally murdered by the terrorists who attacked the church on June 5, 2022.
During the event, the worshipers, along with Olowo and other ‘ogun’ enthusiasts, delivered ancestral curses on the perpetrators, strongly believing that eventually, they will face the consequences of their actions.
Pictures and video clips depict Olowo and Chief Dada Aderobagun, the Olu Ode of Owo Kingdom, conducting the rituals before invoking curses on the wrongdoers.
The Special Assistant Media to the Olowo of Owo, Mr. Sam Adewale, explained that the attack on 127 worshippers prompted the need to invoke Ogun curses on the perpetrators of the horrific attack on Owo community.
