Following unsporting conduct, the Nigeria Premier Football League has decided to suspend Plateau United duo, Jimmy Ambrose and Charles Henlong, as well as the club’s team manager, Iliya Abel. The suspensions will last for three weeks.
As a result of the failure to ensure proper conduct of their players and officials, Plateau United has been fined N1m. This penalty comes after harassment and intimidation of the referee following their matchday 15 tie against Kwara United.
If such conduct reoccurs, Plateau United has been warned to expect stiffer sanctions. The club has 48 hours from the date of notice to appeal these sanctions.
