"Ruger, the Singer, Claims Nigerian Women Are Toxic and Liars" (Video)

Controversy has erupted following comments made by up-and-coming Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, better known as Ruger, in which he criticized Nigerian women.

In an interview with radio station Beat 99.9 FM, Ruger stated that Nigeria does not possess the best women in the world.

Speaking from his own experiences, the 24-year-old described Nigerian women as toxic and prone to lying.

He said, “Nigeria does not have the best women in the world. My people are toxic, and Nigerian girls are liars.”

Here are some reactions:

Lotus Bun commented, “And they made you popular. Heal from the heartbreak you’re going through, ewu.”

The Food Networking stated, “We accept all kinds of disrespect in this country! Try saying that about Americans, and you’ll be canceled for life! This is not how a celebrity should talk about his compatriots.”

Eniola Myde remarked, “Maybe because you have one eye covered, that’s why you can’t properly see and appreciate our Naija girls.”

Inumidun said, “No wonder he’s partially blind; I believe it’s affecting his brain. Nigerian women are the best women in the world.”

Tooshup wrote, “This is what happens when one person mistreats you, and the rest suffer for it.”

Mentrax commented, “The gap between Ruger’s common sense and his brain is as vast as the distance between Nigeria and Mexico.”

Okoye Ella stated, “That’s why you’re still an upcoming artist. Foolish child.”

It’s worth noting that Ruger was romantically linked to Susan Pwajok, a star of The Johnson’s series.

Rumors of their relationship started circulating after they were seen being affectionate in a video compilation shared on the actress’s TikTok page.

Pwajok also posted some pictures of the Jonzing World artist on her Instagram story with a romantic caption.

However, Ruger dismissed the rumors and stated that Susan is just his best friend.
