He won the talent contest aged 16, making him the show’s second-youngest winner at the time he won it, but at the end of The Voice’s 14th season and following the triumph of 15-year-old Brynn Cartelli. as the winner, Fredericks is now the third-youngest to emerge as the winner on the show.
He was born as Sawyer Christopher Fredericks on March 31, 1999, in Newton, Connecticut, the youngest of three male children born to Kirsten Fredericks and Carl Fredericks. Her older siblings are Aric Fredericks and Skyler Fredericks. Sawyer Fredericks was homeschooled and grew up on an 88-acre farm in New York.
Fredericks started training his voice and started learning to play the guitar when he was 11 years old. At age 12, the talented young musician began performing at open mic shows, community events and other occasions.
