Al Roker celebrated his 66th birthday on Thursday, and his wife Deborah Roberts made it special for him by posting a special tribute in his honor on her Instagram page.
"Thursday thankfulness. Wishing the happiest of birthdays to one of the sunniest souls I know. Al, you bring joy, kindness, generosity and wicked humor to all…"

Roberts added that her family was fortunate to have Roker in their lives. Accompanying her post were two pictures, a family photo, and another showing her and her husband. Roker's oldest daughter, Courtney Roker, also posted a tribute to her dad:
"Happy birthday Padre @alroker."
Accompanying Courtney's post was a picture of her family showing her dad Roker, his wife, Roberts, and their two children, Leila and Nicholas.
ROCKER'S SURGERY
Roker, a weather anchor on the "Today" show, recently underwent a total shoulder replacement surgery on August 12. That operation marked the second shoulder operation the 66-year-old would be undergoing in six years.
The weather anchor said that he learned the lesson from his father and followed the same approach with his kids.
In 2014, he repaired the rotator cuff in his left shoulder. The operation for August 12 had to be done because Roker was experiencing intense pain from arthritis, a situation that made it difficult for him to sleep at night.
"And scene! I'm out of surgery and recovery. Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers."
The weather anchor said that he learned the lesson from his father and followed the same approach with his kids. He added that the fact that he is the head of the home does not mean he is always right.
