BIOGRAPHY
Sofia Carson is an American actress, singer and songwriter known for her career on the Disney Channel. Of Latin descent, Sofia began her career in television film in 2014 with a supporting role in the Disney children’s series: Austin and Ally (2011-2016), as well as on MTV with Fingiendo (2014-2016). She however rose to fame after appearing in Descendants (2015) where in addition to acting, she sings. Her next film for television was A Babysitting Adventure (2016). Between these two films, Carson developed her skills in music by participating in several music videos of her own and that of colleagues in the medium such as Shawn Mendes or Sabrina Carpenter. Additionally, her participation in the Descendants film albums earned her a gold record in the United States. Other Disney television projects in which she has participated by providing her voice are the animated series Descendants: World of Villains (2015-2017) and Spider-Man (2017-). Her foray into the big screen was collaborating in the film Tini: Violetta’s Great Change (2016). In recent years, Sofia participated in the Latin soundtrack of the film The Lion King (2019) performing ‘The Endless Cycle’; She also participated in Descendants 3 (2019) and was part of the main cast of the spin off Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists (2019).
