Prosecutors claim that internet sensation Andrew Tate manipulated and coerced women into sex trafficking by falsely discussing marriage and love.
Court documents reveal that Tate allegedly promised a woman from Moldova a new life, even discussing marriage, but demanded unwavering loyalty in return.
In numerous WhatsApp messages, Tate allegedly told the woman, “You must understand that once you are mine, you will be mine forever,” as cited by Romanian prosecutors.
Tate, a prominent online influencer, allegedly persuaded the Moldovan woman to join him in Romania.
“Nothing bad will happen,” he reassured her on Feb. 9. “But you have to be on my side.”
Allegedly, the following month, Tate is accused of raping the woman twice in Romania as part of an operation to exploit women sexually and involve them in a human trafficking ring focused on producing explicit content for OnlyFans, an online platform for selling adult videos.
According to Reuters, these allegations and messages are documented in a recently revealed court file from December 30, offering a detailed account of the alleged illegal activities of Tate and his brother, Tristan, a former kickboxing world champion.
The Tates were arrested on December 29 on charges of running a criminal gang to exploit women sexually. The brothers, British-American Andrew Tate, 36, and his 34-year-old brother, have adamantly denied all accusations against them.
Prosecutors claimed that the brothers utilized deceit and intimidation to bring six women under their control and “transform them into slaves.”
The 61-page court document, comprising a hearing transcript and evidence submitted by the prosecution, provides insights into the case and the alleged activities of the Tates.
Tate’s attorney, Vidineac, argued in the document that the alleged victims were not mistreated and “lived off the backs of the famous Tates.” He stated, “They were joyful and nobody was forcing them to do these things.”
Regarding the sexual encounter between Andrew Tate and the Moldovan woman, Vidineac claimed it was consensual and accused her of fabricating the rape allegations.
On January 11, two women, identified as Beatrice and Iasmina, spoke to Romanian TV station Antena3, asserting that they are not victims and that the Tates are innocent. The other four women, including the Moldovan woman, have not publicly commented.
Tate, known for his self-proclaimed misogynistic beliefs and extravagant lifestyle, has drawn a significant following by projecting a hyper-masculine image of luxury and relationships with attractive women.
Despite being the world’s eighth-most Googled person in 2022, he has faced widespread criticism, including being banned from major social media platforms due to his controversial statements regarding women and sexual assault.
Prosecutors allege that the Tates managed the victims’ OnlyFans’ accounts and earned substantial amounts of money, raising concerns among human rights groups about the potential exploitation of women on such platforms.
Tate’s past remarks comparing women to dogs and assigning them responsibility for sexual assault have contributed to the controversy surrounding his character and actions.
In a 2021 podcast, Tate claimed to have operated a webcam business in Britain with 75 women earning $600,000 a month, without specifying their roles.
Until recently, his website offered a course priced at over $400, promising to teach “every step to building a girl who is submissive, loyal and in love with you.”
“THAT IS MY SKILL. To extremely efficiently get women in love with me,” he declared on the website.
