The Rotimi Victor Rhodes-Vivour Youth Empowerment Foundation is set to mobilize and sensitize Nigerians and the voting populace across the six geopolitical zones in preparation for the 2023 Presidential election in Nigeria.
In an exclusive interview with Citizen NewsNG, the founder and curator, Mr. Rotimi Victor Rhodes-Vivour stated that the foundation is comprised of dedicated professionals and volunteers from local and international backgrounds.
According to Rhodes-Vivour, the foundation’s primary aim is to empower African youths, both within the continent and in the Diaspora, and to rekindle hope among the less privileged in order to make a positive impact on the world.
“Our mission is to serve humanity across the world with integrity and humility,” Rhodes-Vivour, a graduate of University of Derby, United Kingdom, expressed.
Furthermore, Rhodes-Vivour mentioned that his team is prepared to reignite participatory democratic processes with the goal of bringing about a paradigm shift in the most populous African nation.
Rhodes-Vivour also emphasized the major social intervention programs implemented by the Foundation in the past, including:
1. Citizen Empowerment and Social Intervention Programme for young entrepreneurs and startups.
2. Periodic campaigns on mental health, drug and substance abuse/addiction, depression, child abuse, and attempted suicide among youths.
3. Feeding of destitutes and refugees in Lagos and its suburbs.
4. The RVRV Goodwill Charity Store Initiative.
5. The RVRV Annual virtual Symposium on mental health, drug addiction, suicide & youths.
6. Support for widows, orphans, and refugees.
7. Advocacy on good governance.
Citizen NewsNG investigations have revealed that thousands of Nigerian youths and indigents have been empowered and lifted out of poverty and hardships. Numerous young entrepreneurs and small-medium scale business owners have received start-up funds and work tools, thereby redirecting their energies and hidden talents for self-rediscovery, development, and actualization.
Despite being self-funded, The RVRV Youth Empowerment Foundation’s activities have transcended ethnicity and religion, garnering significant success over the years and earning numerous testimonies from different classes of people across Nigeria and beyond.
